11:57 pm - Brain Power
The way I see it, Nature/God/Whatever gives most everyone's brain a roughly equal amount of what I shall call "computational bandwidth."

One of the main ways each individual differs from another is into what mental capabilities this "bandwidth" is distributed.

Things like diseases or genetic defects and reduce the amount of bandwidth available to any one person. And in other exceptional cases, true geniuses have a lot more bandwidth than normal folks like you and me.

11:19 pm - Good Life Policies
Play your hand close to your chest keep your mouth shut as much as possible. Your competitors will generally be their own worst enemy by sowing their own destruction.

08:58 pm - Think Slow
This is my new groove. Think slow. Everyone and everything is always pushing you for more and faster, but really, if you slow down and think then you are less likely to make a mistake and more likely to make cogent decisions.

Think. Slow.

05:57 pm - Sex, Or He's Your Ex
Quite a very thought provoking article. I don't think that it's 100% right, but it voices a lot of things that I always struggled to verbalise.

12:14 am - Global Warming Debate
One thing about this debate that strikes me as relevant is that it exposes one of humanity's most enduring flaws: Our arrogance. So many of us assume that changes in the Earth's biosphere must be the result of our own activities. (Insert Spock + Star Trek IV reference.) Only a human would be so arrogant as to assume that the Earth would remain unchanging without the race's presence.

While I don't believe that the anti-Kyoto camp is wrong, I find it fascinating that neither side seems to bring up the human factor.
