Social Cyanide is now playing 2 shows in 1 day this Saturday July 18!
Saturday July 18 2009 @ Billfest 2009 Outdoor Festival (CAMP INN on Duck Lake, Victoria Road 35), Kirkfield Ontario. Here is a map to the show. All ages show. Free event however all donations and funds raised go to Bill's fight against cancer. Show starts at 3:00pm. Social Cyanide @ sometime after 5:00pm. Cheap beer. Camping (additional fees required).
Saturday July 18 2009 @ The Spill (414 George St. N), Peterborough Ontario. All ages show. $5.00 at the door. Doors open at 9:00pm. Band lineup: Social Cyanide @ 10:00pm and The DGB @ 11:15pm.

Right now, I find little reason to respond to these posts calling me out as its not like the people asking these questions are gonna objectively listen to me. Its just gonna fuel a circle of drama which ultimately was effecting a lot of things in my life which I had to make the call to stop things in its tracks.
Speaking of which, lets talk about commenting - Louie kept poking and poking, it was a little circle of irritation which resulted in no new information being brought to the table and really - nothing he talked about was concerned himself directly. With him screaming "legal" left and right I felt it was best to consult my attorney to find out if I was truely doing anything wrong and to find out my rights given the situation. Tidbit of info to people - Louie forwarded the same e-mails that I posted earlier to other people as well. Once that was done it was not a private concern. End of story.
Ultimately, I'm trying to move on with my life and take care of myself for once. I have a wonderful girlfriend, I own one of the few anime stores in the nation and I have friends who support me and what I do. It feels awesome to be able to say all of this.
Now to get about 6 hours of sleep before work!

I got tired of having to buy/refill gallons of drinking water, so I bought a Brita filter pitcher. I can taste the difference: water from the faucet doesn't taste like coming out of the garden hose anymore once it's filtered

We have 2 seasons around here, Winter and Construction.
I used to think Winter was the time when you're most likely to get rear-ended due to fools who drive around on poorly inflated balding all-season tires on ice. But not today.
Damned construction leads to bumper-to-bumper traffic. It's a miracle I got home unscathed.

| 01:54 am - Putting rumors to rest
Thought I'd say something to kill off rumors -
1) I turned off commenting from my prior posts as to stop drama from continuing to brew. The matters that were being argued were actually not between ANY of the people commenting other than myself so I felt that it was silly to be argueing in a circle. It was never my intention to clear off all of these comments as they show how much of a fucking moron Louie is. Well that and apparently people like nitpicking at small details. Go figure.
2) I turned off anonamous posting earlier as I feel that there is a sense of credibility attached to actual names and people who are willing to stand behind their own words. Funny to note that once I shut this off but so did the number of commenters. Go figure.
3) Nick S. from NebKon did post on this journal twice but deleted his entries for reasons that I do not know. Thanks to the wonder that is Livejournal, I have copies of his posts.

Tomorrow I will be doing the Seattle to Portland bicycle classic. 205 miles, all in one day. I'm excited, but nervous.
I will report on how it went when I'm done. I've made lots of preparations for this and think I'm ready. I even shaved my legs to make myself more aerodynamic!
Here's hoping there are no incidents.

1) The Exploding Explosions with more Explosions that are Explosive went VERY well. We did it twice, and the second time had a full team of 8. Grav/Kin, Grav/Storm, 3 Grav/Rad, 1 Fire/Kin, 1 Kin/Psi, and I forget what Xany's toon was, Fire/? Controller? God it was SO much fun. Shit just kept exploding EVERYWHERE.
2) The latest hashtag craze on Twitter is 1stdraftmovielines once again, I have collected my favorites for those who haven't been following:

Okay, I have been given the bad news that the current patch on Test fixes the Drone explosions. Therefore, Tomorrow I would like to run the Debris Field Of Doom mission.
Anyone who has a Gravity Control toon on Virtue. Thursday 7/9/09. 8 or 9 Eastern, depending what is better for people. I know of 3 other Grav players other than myself, but if any others have one, please sign up. This should be AWESOME. We'll bump the diff to increase the mob size as they're only minions anyway.

| 02:11 pm - Cons Over... Bills Are Paid... Now to Move On
Getting everything set back up after the convention over at my store... tiring day, really.
Basically started the day by going over the hotel bill and walking through the hotel to survey damages. It was brought to my attention that there was some considerable damages from the Dylan's NebKon party room in the form of a couple broken queen sized beds. Honestly how do you break a bed??? There was also a matter of vomit in the hall and elevator... it was not apparent initally if I would be responsible for the charges. (there was no formal written contract and I've seen some horror stories of charges hotels pull on groups...) the hotel thought that group was in our group but I made as much distance as I could from them - he registered the room outside our room block (even paid $20 more a night for having the privilege) and never registered the room party.
Took until the afternoon to know that I was off the hook with charges and that the hotel was happy with us. Quite happy to know that.
So hotel is paid for, the tech is paid for, the guest is paid for, the reinbursements are mostly paid for and the food was paid for. Oh yeah, the goverment gets paid for in October when sales tax reciepts are due.
Delt with con matters - now to get some tasty chinese and to rest.
[Notes: I decided to hide this from public for a few hours today as I wanted to confirm things with the hotel once again as while I was fairly certain at the time of the initial posting, I did want to cover my ass. Also made edits as this has now been edited a total of 4 times... time has passed. Here is the current news of things]
