01:51 pm - It Must Be All The Construction Or Something. We have 2 seasons around here, Winter and Construction. I used to think Winter was the time when you're most likely to get rear-ended due to fools who drive around on poorly inflated balding all-season tires on ice. But not today. 10:22 pm - For Those "Christmas Music in July" Impluses... Yeah, so sometimes I feel like listening to Christmas music when it's nowhere near Christmas. The good thing about Traditional Trinidadian Christmas Music ("Parang") is that it does not sound like normal Western Christmas Music. You can listen to it openly and most people don't know what it is because Parang is in Spanish, but sung with a Trinidadian accent by people who don't actually know Spanish (who learned it from other people or records sung by others who did not know Spanish.) 01:13 am - Comedy Club I was at this Comedy Club this evening, and one guy in the audience started causing some trouble with some other guests. It was this black guy in the back who would not calm down and shut up during the show, and other patrons were complaining. The bouncer stepped in and the guy started getting really angry at him, calling him a racist and some other names. I'm guessing that this wayward patron was kicked out, as I didn't see him there later. Either way, he must have been drunk or high or stupid or something, as the bouncer was also black.
